A case against a suspect in the murder of three Kapsoya MCA aspirant's children failed to kick off, Tuesday, after the prosecution sought for more time to complete investigations.

The suspect, Enock Onsanze, who is the uncle to the children had appeared before the Eldoret Chief Magistrate Charles Ombulutsa to answer to abduction charges when the prosecution applied to be given ten more days to complete the investigation.

Prosecutor Zachary Omwega told the court that circumstances in the case had changed once the children were found dead.

"Preliminary investigations had linked the suspect to abduction with an assumption that the children would be found alive but as at now things have changed," noted Omwega.

"We will now have to withdraw the abduction charges and file murder against the suspect," he added.

Later the Prosecutor addressed the press outside the Eldoret law courts where he revealed that bodies of the children would go through forensic audit as part on the ongoing investigations into the murder case.

"Forensic audit is done in Nairobi and this is why we requested for more time. We already have homicide officials send to is by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (CID) who will help in the case," said Omwega.

"We want to know who did this criminal act and how many people were involved. Once we finish investigations and get all the culprits, the case will proceed," he added.

The three children went missing on their way to church at Kapsoya estate in Eldoret on May 13, and their bodies found floating on River Nzoia, Trans Nzoia county a few days later.
