This is after reports emerged that the DP is now the proud owner of the most expensive chopper in the country, Airbus Helicopter H145.The helicopter is valued at Sh970 million (9.7 million USD) according to the Business Jet Traveler magazine. The uniqueness of the helicopter is that it has the night vision capacity, unlike the normal choppers, only Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) and the Kenya Police have choppers with night vision capabilities.Ruto now marks history as the first individual owner of such a chopper in the country. With the DP making such a milestone, a section of locals in his home turf, Uasin Gishu, is not happy at all, at least according to comments made by some of them on the local Facebook group, Uasin Gishu County Forum.Majority of those who reacted to the reports criticized DP Ruto's move. Here are some of the reactions from the Facebook users;Arap Kptamna Chepchos - "Lifestyle audit required".Samuel Songok - "So what? what is it going to benefit the Kalenjins?"Festus Kiprono -  "It is not good for him, remember Saitoti".However, not all social media users criticized the DP as some hailed him for purchasing the most expensive chopper.Massy Idnomo congratulated him and urged that he buys another chopper for his wife too."Hii inaweza 'hammer kisiasa," said Idnomo loosely translated as "This is the real deal, political hammer'.Another user Alex Kemboi was disappointed on those criticizing the second in command."Great bwana DP, you are forgetting he has five more choppers, is there anything wrong? How is that your business, no one has ever asked you why you're hell broke," said Kemboi.According to Kenya Today, the chopper is undergoing customization and will be delivered to Kenya in June 2018.
