After the Court of Appeal overturned a High Court decision and annulled Machakos gubernatorial election results, governor Alfred Mutua said the move was as a result of his fight against graft.

The vocal county boss went ahead and even threatened to expose the real culprits of the Sh1.9 maize scandal.

“There are several prominent people who got Sh10 million, others got Sh100 million while others got Sh300 million. Big people in government, I have the list,” Mutua said.

Eldoret locals have however reacted differently to the threats by governor Mutua to expose those involved.

Referring to a post by Almamy Kalumanzillaa Jakasta Alladin on the popular Facebook group 'UASIN GISHU COUNTY FORUM'  who had said: "Alfred Mutua threatens to expose those involved in the maize scandal" in the group, below are some of the reactions.

"Kenyans are tired of names, we want to hear people found guilty and jailed, you are not in such position so keep the names to yourself. Am sure DCI has a copy," Anthony Chirchir noted.

"Have you become CID director or EACC boss?K elele mingi ya nini?" Jonathan Sang asked.

"Those are kicks of a dying horse," Peter Kosgey said.

"Wakamba mlianza kupanda mahindi lini na mko na ukame, shughulikia watu wako wapapate maji kwanza," Gedion Gibbs said.

"You threaten to name, name them we see if it would stop this country...," Chepkemoi Florida said.

"There's nothing like Maize Scandal, business people purchased maize and sold them to NCPB.T here's no law that bars anyone from doing that," Emmanuel Kimeli noted.
