Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu's capital will in June play host to the first ever food expo to be held in the North Rift region.
Dubbed the Eldoret Food Expo 2018 Edition, the event will take place at the Eastern Avenue, opposite Central Primary School on Saturday, June 9, 2018.
According to the event organizer Kennedy Odera popularly known as Young Chef, the event will start at 10.00 am and end at 6.00 pm.
Odera says the expo will be the best platform for players in the hotel industry to showcase their products to the customers.
"We are inviting hotels and restaurants owners in the North Rift region to come and exhibit their good products and market them to their clients," he said in Eldoret town on Tuesday.
Odera who doubles up as a musician indicated that Icy Spicy, Bakers Point, Zaika Lounge are some of the hotels that have already confirmed to take part in the one-day event.
He said that there will be live BBQ, cooking and showcasing food items.
The Young Chef reiterated that apart from food, there will also be music concerts from local artists, poetry, spoken word, and dances.
Entrance fee for the event is set at Sh350 (Regular) and Sh1, 000 (VIP).
