Eldoret town literally came to a standstill as thousands of mourners lined all the streets of the town as the hearse carrying Bishop Korir's remains moved slowly around the town giving the many mourners a glimpse of the elaborate ceremony that was graced by government and church dignitaries led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
Motorists had a hard day as the Uganda Road and other roads within the town were literally inaccessible.
President Uhuru's received a wild cheer from the crowds when he waved at them from the confine of his motorcade.
The Bishop was buried inside the Sacred Church Cathedral as is the custom of the Church when a serving Bishop passes on.
It was a clear show of love for the peace-loving Bishop who was hailed for his peace initiatives in the region.
While speaking to the mourners at the Sports Club grounds, President Kenyatta assured the Nation that he is committed to dialogue and would do all within his power to ensure peace and stability to the nation.
He reached out to his competitors and appealed to them to work with him towards unifying the Nation.
He appealed to Kenyans to love their neighbors and maintain peace.
