Two members of the Uasin Gishu County assembly who Uasin Gishu governor-elect Jackson Mandago campaigned against have pledged to set aside their political differences so as to better serve the people.

MCAs Peter Chomba (Huruma) and Francis Muya (Langas) both elected on a Jubilee Party ticket said they are willing and ready to support Mandago despite falling out with him in the run up to the just-concluded general election.

During the electioneering period, Mandago endorsed Sure Andrew Ouma and Charles Abwonji Okumu both of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party who were vying for Huruma and Langas ward seats respectively but failed to win the seats.

“In politics there are no permanent enemies. We have only been differing on political ideologies during the electioneering period,” Chomba said in Eldoret, Sunday.

"Even as we pledge our support for the governor-elect, we are reminding him not discriminate against other communities but to make sure that his new administration reflects the face of Kenya because Uasin Gishu is a cosmopolitan area," added Muya.

Mandago had accused the two MCAs for supporting his rival billionaire businessman Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop popularly known as Buzeki.

"The back now falls with the governor. He now has to bring everybody on board. He is our father and he should give us the right direction as far as politics of inclusion is concerned," reiterated Chomba who together with Muya have been critics of governor Mandago's administration.
