Youths from Nyamira County, particularly from Rigoma ward, have been challenged to make sure that they elect able leaders ahead of next year’s general election.
According to Nyambega Gisesa, Nyamira Youth Alliance leader, the only way people can develop is by electing able leaders who are able to work with residents.
Speaking to this writer on Sunday, Gisesa advised residents to focus on the next general election by electing able leaders who can help them.
“We have no good development records due to our fails of choosing unable leaders, we wish this time round to focus by electing able leaders who are willing to transform our county from ward levers,” said Gisesa.
He further challenged youths to avoid being used by politicians in disrupting functions like it was witnessed last week.
“My advice to my fellow youths is that let us avoid politicians who are using us in negative ways, instead, let us ask them to help us in terms of development projects,” added Gisesa.
Gisesa, who has shown interest in Rigoma ward seat added that this is the time that leaders need to focus on development rather than playing politics which is dividing Kenyans.
