According to Nyambati, some of elected leaders are not interested in development but just want to benefit themselves at the expense of the residents.

Speaking on Sunday at Gesima in Kitutu Masaba constituency, the former MP challenged residents to be keen when electing leaders, urging them to re -elect President Uhuru Kenyatta in the in 2017 polls to benefit more from the national government

“In 2017 make sure you elect leaders who will bring about development in our county so that you benefit as the electorate in terms of development,” he added.

Nyambati faulted politicians who are saying that he will not vie for Nyamira gubernatorial seat come 2017 noting that he is still in the race and if elected, he will bring change in the county.

“I am in the race for the governorship post in Nyamira County come 2017 and I promise if I elected, I do more for the the residents,” added Nyambati.

Several politicians have announced to vie for the county top seat as they seek to oust the incumbent Governor John Nyagarama.
