A parliamentary hopeful in Kisii County has challenged Kenyans not to vote for political parties come 2017 but instead elect leaders who can foster development across the country.
Speaking Thursday at a burial ceremony at Bobaracho in Nyaribari Chache constituency, Rachael Otundo said development has failed across the country because many of Kenyans have been voting for political parties instead of choosing development conscious leaders.
“We have been experiencing challenges with regards to development in our constituencies because Kenyans vote for political parties instead of electing leaders who can bring development,” said Otundo who is eyeing the Nyaribari Chache seat.
“I am advising Kenyans to stop that behaviour and vote for good leaders so that our country to advance in terms of development that can benefit residents,” added Otundo.
She also urged residents to embrace peace as next year's elections beckon.
