Kenyans have been told to elect leaders who have shown leadership credentials in their work and social life.
Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto says the electorate needs to shop wisely for good leadership and elect people who are ready to be servant of the people. He said Kenyans should consider leadership qualities and ability of a person before casting their votes.
He also called upon leaders to stop chest thumping and deliver promises they made to the people during electioneering.
The governor said Kenyans now need services and not politics of 2017.
“We are now tired of successive politics, Kenyans need service delivery,” he said.
Speaking at Lwak Primary School when he launched a massive deworming exercise among school going children, Ruto said Kenyans are now informed and will not be taken for a ride.
He said the coming election will be issue based and Kenyans will cast their votes based on the output of leaders.
“Let leaders work before asking for votes because Kenyans will look at the track record of every leader before casting their votes,” he said.
Ruto who is also the chairman Council of Governors asked Kenyans to prepare to vote in the referendum to allow more resources to come to the grass root to spur economic development.
