Speaking during an interview with Radio Citizen on Wednesday, Ruto said that elections are a simple exercise that should not tear the country apart noting that as Jubilee they were ready to accept the outcome of the August polls.

"Elections are not a matter of life and death Never again should we see Kenyans harming ir killing each other because ab election has not gone their way", he said.

The former agriculture minister added that the government was doing everything possible to ensure that security is provided sufficiently during and after the polls.

His sentiments comes in the wake of a report by European electoral observers team and other Kenyan security agencies that there are areas that could witnesses electoral violence.
