Jubilee allied politicians who either lost or stepped down in the August 8 polls and are now keen on making it to several state positions whose appointments are yet to be made have been urged to remain calm.
Speaking to the press Sunday, nominated Member of Parliament David Ole Sankok cautioned the politicians against making demands to President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto with regards to the positions, urging them to let the two handle the issue.
''Politicians and leaders should remain calm and await the appointments. We cannot have a situation where losers in the last general elections pressure the presidency to appoint them to their preferred positions as that is a decision only the two can make,'' he said.
''We cannot have a situation where leaders are making demands. The Presidency will make appointments on the basis of who is the most likely to deliver,'' he added.
This comes at a time when President Kenyatta has sent home a bigger portion of his cabinet with 13 Cabinet Secretaries who served in his first cabinet being shown the door.
Only 6 Cabinet Secretaries including Tourism docket holder Najib Balala and his Transport and Communication counterparts James Macharia and Joe Mucheru have been retained.
The President has also made 3 appointments to the Cabinet with 10 more expected to be announced soon.
Also up for grabs are other state jobs including departmental heads and ambassadors which are likely to be re-assigned.
