The country is indeed gearing up for the 2017 elections. The election mood is in the air.

The early campaigns albeit subtly are clear pointers to this even though the IEBC is supposed to officially declare open the campaign period.

Both camps; the ruling coalition, Jubilee, as well as the Opposition, are getting their guns ready as the D-date fast approaches.

Talk of which politician is warming up to either side is rife.

And as is tradition to every Kenyan election, there are those politicians who visit prophets, witch doctors and fortune tellers to tell them of what is music to their ears; to win the election.

There have been both true prophets of God whose prophesies have come to pass but false prophets have seen it as an avenue where they can rake in huge sums of cash from the vulnerable politicians whose monies have gone down the drain due their thirst for power.

These politicians visit churches to be prayed for only to sneak to the witch doctors in search of their services.

Question is; why do politicians have to go that far; visiting unfathomable and unspeakable places, doing all manner of crude things all in the name of seeking power and money?

What happens when they win the elections is that they are only sacrificing their electorate to the gods.

You only need to know how much money these politicians cough out to the fortune tellers in that some of them go to the extent of bringing in witchdoctors from foreign countries to conduct their weird deeds.

In 2013, an investigative piece by the then KISS TV journalist Dennis Okari revealed that many politicians seek a well known witchdoctor’s ‘prophecy and powers’ during the election time.

Okari revealed that many politicians in the country are the witch doctor's frequent visitors and that he makes millions out of their visits.
