On Tuesday, Odinga said opposition team would boycott elections should Jubilee administration pass contagious law that would pave way for manual voting.

Speaking on Thursday after parliament passed the amendments; Duale accused Odinga of undermining institutions insisting that the country will for for elections with or without Odinga.

“The country will go for elections with or without Odinga. He is not the determining factor of whether we shall go for elections,” he said.

“We have several people who are willing to participate in the polls. These are theatrics he is using as a cover-up to cause chaos. Jubilee will defend laws that will direct affect people in a positive manner,” he added.

The opposition team is now planning to wage peaceful demonstrations across the country, similar to those witnessed when they were pushing for removal of IEBC commissioners.
