Just like any other competition there will always be a winner and a loser. And as is common with virtually everything competitive 'the winner takes it all' rule will most likely apply.
However Kenyan politicians have perfected the art of contesting every result that tend to defy their wishes. Sadly in doing so, they always whip up emotions of their supporters while dragging them along to equally reject electoral outcomes.
The result of this is disaffection on the electoral body and a perception that the opponent and his supporters are bad and drums of war are sounded, within a matter of hours hell breaks loose.
But what Kenyans fail to know is that whoever they fight for has zero interests in their affairs at heart and is only keen on fending for himself and his family.
With elections only months away, we should all wake up from this deep slumber of self-deception that every election results must always go our way. That if it doesn't then the winner is an enemy who must be vanquished. As the saying goes, leaders come and go but the country will always remain.
