Deputy President William Ruto has assured Kenyans that the forth coming 2017 General Election will be peaceful, free and fair.

He said everything is in order, and therefore is no cause for alarm.

"The Government will ensure that IEBC is adequately funded for it to conduct their functions with ease and independently," he said.

Speaking in Maili Tisa Turbo Constituency, Uasin Gishu County after making a stopover from Kamagut where he attended an inter-denominational Sunday service Ruto said, free and fair elections will be achieved if the constitution is followed to the latter. 

"Everyone should respect our Constitution and independent institutions for the country to operate smoothly, "he said.

He said, opposition leaders should stop deceiving Kenyans that elections will not be free and fair thus calling for removal of IEBC. 

Ruto warned Cord leaders against holding parallel Madaraka Day celebrations saying this will create chaos and instability in the country .

 "Cord is trying to destabilise this government at whatever cost for them to ascend to power ,but they won't succeed, "he said.

He urged the opposition leaders to shun divisive politics but instead embrace peace and Cohesion .
