Former Lagdera MP Farah Maalim has decried continued electoral malpractices in the country saying it could breed a deeper crisis in the near future.
Speaking on Friday during an interview with KTN News, the former National Assembly deputy speaker took the blame to the IEBC doorstep accusing them of condoning the vice and acting ignorant thereafter.
Farah added that it was because of electoral fraud that the country continues to find itself at crossroads, not knowing which direction to take.
"The culture of electoral fraud in this country is just worrying. When you continously steal a candidate's votes and play ignorant thereafter you're only inviting a bigger crisis in this country. We must strive in every way possible to bring this vice to a naught, otherwise we will be held hostage by a recurrent post-election crisis,'' he said.
Farah who is also the Wiper party deputy leader has also filed a petition in court to challenge the outcome of the August 8 Garissa Township parliamentary results which saw national assembly majority leader Aden Duale re-elected.
