All 2017 KCSE candidates who scored a minimum aggregate grade of C+ and above are eligible for placement to both public and private universities to pursue degree courses under government sponsorship.
All candidates who scored a minimum mean grade of C – (minus) and above are eligible for placement to pursue diploma courses offered in tertiary institutions.
All candidates who scored a mean grade of D and above are eligible for placement to craft certificate courses offered in public colleges.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Placement Service (Kuccps) opened its online application system for applicants to revise their choices on Wednesday, January 24, and will close on February 14, 2018 at midnight.
Below is the procedure of revising course choices using Kuccps Application System:
1. Enter Pogramme Codes Only, for choices 1a,1b,1c, 2,3 and 4. There are over 540 degree programmes and 190 diploma programmes on offer.
2. Click "check requirements" button to confirm if you qualify for a given set of programmes.
3. The Submit button will only appear if you meet requirements for all programmes you choose. It will also only submit for the programmes checked.
4. A prompt for the MPESA transaction code will appear for those applying for the first time. Pay the required amount via M-pesa and enter the Mpesa transaction code.
Students are advised not to make any payment before checking if they qualify for a set of programmes of their choice.
