Elimu Academy in Kisii County has promised to keep sponsoring students as a way of helping them achieve their dreams.
According to the director of the school, David Kombo, the school is sponsoring 38 students and they will continue sponsoring them until they complete their studies. The director said despite the challenges the school faced after it was relocated to Kisii from Rift Valley following the 2007/2008 election violence it has put measures in place of sponsoring such students.
''We have been having some challenges since 2007 /2008 since we relocated this school after election violence but now we are at a good position after getting this place to set up this school. We are now sponsoring 238 students as we hope to sponsor more,'' said Kombo.
Kombo added that the students he used to sponsor in Rift valley are the ones who made him reopen the school after the challenges. He, therefore, urged parents and guardians to invest in education matters so that they can build a better future for their children.
