Olympic marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge has been named as the brand ambassador for this year’s Isaiah Kiplagat Memorial Ndalat Gaa Cross Country Championships.
The event will be held in Nandi County on October 14 and involves 8kilometers men and women and there will be a total of Sh3 million to compete for.
Winners in the race will receive Sh50, 000, runners up Sh45ooo each and third position finishers Sh40, 000
During the race launch in Nairobi on Wednesday, the organizers said that there will be different categories ranging from the junior most to the seniors in the competition.
To grace the occasion will be the Nandi Governor Stephen Sang and the appointed brand ambassador Eliud Kipchoge.
The competition was founded by the late former AK chairperson Isaiah Kiplagat and has been sponsored by Safaricom and other corporate organizations.
