The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Nominated Senator Elizabeth Ongoro has ditched the party.

Ongoro decamped from the Orange party citing frustrations just days after 400 aspirants were given direct nomination tickets to vie in the August General Election.

Ongoro was earlier barred from contesting for the Ruaraka MP seat.

The move is said to have been a disciplinary action following the chaos that erupted after her supporters fought in public with those of area Member of Parliament TJ Kajwang in Mathare in March.

Two people died in the incident.

However, with speculations high that she might find room in Jubilee, Ongoro has kept mum over her next move and is yet to announce the party she decamped to.
