[Photo: the-star]A Wiper Democratic Movement Kenya MP candidate, Musili Mawathe, is likely to be the new Embakasi South lawmaker.Provisional results are showing Musili edging out populous incumbent Irshad Sumra of the ODM party, who is closely trailing him.Mawathe has 32 899 votes (34,64%), against Sumra's 32 464 votes (34,19%).
Imara Daima ward, Sumra got 9 028 votes (41,30%), against Mawathe's 6 079 votes (27,81%).In Kware ward Mawathe got 6 061 votes (37,92%), against Sumra's 5 605 votes (35,07%).Jubilee Party's Paul Mutungi is third with 23 238 votes (24,47%); Ford Kenya's Evans Ondieki 2 123 votes (2,24%); David Mbugua (independent) 1 110 votes (1,17%); KANU's Kibagendi Robert 861 votes (0,91%); David Obayi (independent) 734 votes (0,77%); Ng'ang'a Karuma (independent) 664 votes (0,70%).
