When he visited Garissa County in 2017 at the height of the presidential campaigns, Raila Odinga trained his guns on Majority Leader Aden Duale and fired with unrelenting ruthlessness.
The veteran opposition leader chastised Duale for abandoning him and supporting Jubilee in spite of the fact that he had funded and helped shape the Garissa MP's political career.
Odinga made devastating revelations about how Duale had to depend on him during campaigns.
"I removed him from the gutters. I even funded his political campaigns and all he does is move around abusing me," a seething Raila fired.
He urged Garissa residents to rally behind NASA's agenda going forward.
Duale was a close ally of Odinga and the two fell out in the lead-up to the 2013 elections.
The outspoken Garissa Township MP opted to rally behind the Uhuru-Ruto presidential ticket.
