Machakos County youths have been challenged to embrace creativity and innovation to help curb unemployment within the area.

Tala Member of County Assembly Alex Kamitu urged youths to explore more business ideas that will change the rate of dependency among the youths.

The sentiments were shared during a one week youth forum that kicked off at Tala social hall.

Youths shared ideas that can help improve their lives and transform other unemployed members of the society, as they seek to create a moral society.

"Youths are the leaders of tomorrow. We need to reduce the gap of dependency among our youths. Creativity and innovation are key to self employment. This forum will greatly help the youths," said Kamitu.

The one week youth forum will end this Friday and has attracted over 200 youths drawn from different areas within Machakos county.
