The youth from Kisii County have been challenged to embrace basic entrepreneurial skills to empower themselves economically, instead of shifting blame to their leaders and the Government for not assisting them secure white collar jobs.

Nyaribari Chache politician, Rachael Otundo has tipped the youth on the importance of using their education to create job opportunities for themselves and their fellow young people.

Speaking to this writer in Kisii town, Otundo expressed concern that majority of the youth who were complaining that the Government has failed to give them jobs were those with higher education who were supposed to use that education to empower themselves.

"I am reminding our youth that having education is one thing and using that education productively is another, since most of our graduates believe that going to school only assists one to secure a white collar job and not the other way round," stated Otundo.

She advised young people to think positively about themselves and turn their various challenges in life into opportunities.

The politician, however expressed concern whether the youth from the County really exploited the existence of the Uwezo Fund.
