Majority leader and Garissa, Aden Duale, has called on Muslim scholars and Madrasa Imams to embrace the teaching of peace studies as a means to shun radicalization while encouraging religious brotherhood.
Speaking on Saturday during the prize giving day at Sir Ali Muslim Club Park during a prize giving day ceremony, the legislator said Islam as a religion does not support radicalization and so the Muslim scholars should help in preaching peace and shun extremist ideas.
" All parents, Muslim scholars and Imam's should embrace Islam teaching of peace, tolerance, and brotherhood and shun extremist ideas and radicalization. Islam as a religion does not support radicalization," Said the legislator while addressing the crowd.
Duale also congratulated the institution saying it had produced all round and highly educated students with strong religious background while integrating both secular and Islamic education.
