Mutisya was responding to allegations of insecurity, which residents claim that there has been perennial night attacks in Nyamage and Nyanchwa areas.

“You know security starts from an individual, if they have not reported such cases, we are not angels to predict what is yet to happen residents need to embrace the Nyumba Kumi initiative,” he said.

This comes hot on the heels of last week’s incident at Nyamage village, in Bobaracho, where a woman opted to flee her native land for the sake of her security.

The woman, mother of two claimed to be targeted by unknown assailants, whom she claims always come to her home at night with unknown intentions, saying she could not bear it any more as her husband works far from home.

Area Chief Sarah Mokany, said that security patrols have been boosted at night through the help of police officers and community policing.

“We have boosted the security around Nyamage area and there is no need for some of the residents to fear of insecurity, I got the report but we have launched a man hunt operation on those trying to destabilize our security,” she said.
