Nakuru County Governor Lee Kinyanjui has called on politicians to embrace political tolerance ahead of the October 26 polls.

Kinyanjui said politicians should desist using statements that may plunge the country into violence.

He said the current political temperatures are disturbing and can easily trigger violence.

"Its bad that some leaders are working hard to divide the country. I urge them not to take us back into violence", he said.

He said NASA leaders should call off IEBC protests and follow legal procedure to remove the IEBC officials they are not comfortable with.

"The country do not wish to go back to violence as witnessed in 2007/2008. NASA should not hold protests that left deep scars in the country", he added.

He said opposition allied politicians have ill motives to disrupt the peace of the country.

"Let politicians respect each other and concentrate on selling their policies and agendas without making incitement remarks instead of driving the country into a constitutional crisis,"he said.

He urged Kenyans to remain calm and shun politicians who will use them to cause chaos.

"Kenyans should embrace peace and shun leaders who want to use them divide our peaceful country,"he said.
