Embu water and Sanitation Company has moved to assure the quality of its water in the wake of a cholera outbreak that had hit parts of the county.

Ewasco acting managing director Doris Njiru says the company has put in place elaborate mechanisms to ensure that water supplied to its customers meet requisite standards.

The heavy rains pounding most of the country was received with delight by most Kenyans after a dry spell that had hit hard on farmers.

But the rains appear to have brought a new challenge, bouts of cholera that have hit parts of the country.

And with Embu County having reported cases of cholera in recent weeks, officials of the Embu water and sanitation company were in the region to conduct analysis on the quality of the water supplied to the locals.

And after a thorough analysis of the water, the officials returned a thumbs up on its quality assuring its customers of enhanced measures to ensure that it meets the highest standards in water provision as well as sanitation and waste disposal.
