Speaking in Kisii town the Chairman said that schools need qualified subordinate staff so that they can enhance smooth learning activities in schools.

“Subordinate staffs are very important in our school hence, we advocate for school management to make sure that they employee qualified members who can make the school  achieve its goals,” said Onderi.

In addition, he added that members who are preparing food in schools should be cleared from the ministry of health who are mandated to give them an okay recommendation.

Onderi also warned the BOMs who employee supportive staff through clans, what he said has ruined education in most of the schools.

“There is a habit that has started developing in some of the BoMs in our schools where they employee support staff based on their clans without considering the qualifications," said Onderi.

"We need to caution them and let them know that we need qualified support staff in our schools,” he added.
