[Photo| Daily Nation]The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) commissioner Prof Gitile Naituli has described Kenya's First Vice President the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga as a selfless leader.Speaking during a County Peace and Cohesion Forum at Border Palace Hotel in Busia on Thursday, Naituli noted that Oginga refused an offer from then KADU leaders Daniel Arap Moi and Ronald Ngala to take up the leadership of the Country after their party won the 1961 elections due to his selflessness. The NCIC commissioner has now called on Kenyan politicians to emulate Odinga adding if everybody did so, Kenya will not be in a political crisis it is right now."Leaders who want to leave a legacy should have the willingness to forego power. The major hiccup in Kenya today is that leaders don't want to admit there is a problem partly because of colonization," said Naituli."They also put money first instead of people. National resources have been shifted to politics. Professionals like Engineers, Doctors and Journalists have abandoned areas they have comparative advantage to politics," he added.
