A Kenyan blogger has advised the Jubilee administration to emulate Tanzania in the fight against drug trafficking.
Robert Alai has advised the government to order the police to arrest drug dealers including their family members, just as President John Pombe Magufuli has done in neighbouring Tanzania.
"Magufuli recently ordered Tanzanian police to arrest even his family members involved in the illegal narcotics trade," wrote Alai on Twitter on Tuesday.
"The same should be applied in Kenya," he added.
He also asked the government to stop making the drugs war political and a way of demeaning others for political gain.
"Politics should be politics and we should compete on ideas and challenge the performance of those who have had the opportunity to lead at Central govt or county govt level," he wrote.
"Let's not just destroy the reputation of others for short-term political gains," he added.
