The Nurses Union has challenged striking doctors to accept the government's pay offer and resume duty.
Speaking on Saturday in Kakamega, the Nurses Union Secretary General Seth Panyako called on doctors to come to the aid of Kenyans, saying that many Kenyans have suffered unfairly since the medics downed tools.
"I want to categorically urge our doctor friends kindly hear the cry of Kenyan people. The have suffered enough. Go back to the table and accept whatever you will be offered. Let us all live to fight another day," Panyako urged.
"Many families are crying, others have lost their loved ones because their was no doctor to attend to them, let them heed to the call of duty and someday their woes will be resolved," he added.
The doctors have maintained their ground, calling for the full implementation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) signed between the doctors' union and the government in 2013.
The industrial action is currently on its fifth week.
