Rift Valley council of elders has now called on leaders in Laikipia county to collaborate with government to endin ensuring that there is an end conflict in the area.
Through their patron Gilbert Kabage, the elders claim a section of leaders in Laikipia are creating incitement between the large farm owners in the area and the locals.
They called on the Ole Kaparo led National Cohesion and integration commission (NCIC) to step in and help bring peace in Laikipia county.
“We have a problem in Laikipia and we would like to call on Ole Kaparo and the security to step in and tell us what is happening in the area,” said Kabage.
The elders also called on Inspector General of police to ensure illegal fire arms in the area are recovered.
