The move made by former presidential candidate Peter Kenneth to run for Nairobi's gubernatorial seat has been highly criticised by Senior Kisii University Don Prof Daniel Auka.
According to Auka, Kenneth had won the hearts of many as being the eye of Kenya and who would bring change to the leadership of the country and when he said he will join Jubilee he just lost it.
He added that the former Gatanga MP announced that he will run for the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat his popularity just decreased and he would have done much more consultation before making the move.
"What will happen is that Kenneth will lose the post due to various reasons and one of them being some of the candidates will defect to other parties hence giving ODM's candidate Evans Kidero a great win," he added.
Prof Auka also said that when Kenneth made his move he lowered his chances of becoming the next president as he will face more critics than supporters if he doesn’t win the Nairobi's gubernatorial race.
He was speaking during an exclusive interview in his office at Kisii University town campus on Monday evening.
