Maangi said political leaders whether in office or not should focus on empowering the people of Kisii County.

"We are tired with the endless, divisive and hatred politics. It is time leaders whether in office or not commit themselves to offer improved services to the people of Kisii County who are employers of politicians," he said.

The deputy governor urged NASA and Jubilee leaders to shun hatred and work together for the sake of developing various regions they represent.

"NASA and Jubilee leaders should get back to work for the sake of development. Political parties should not make us be divided because there is no permanent enemy in politics," said Maangi.

He assured that he will work closely with his boss Governor James Ongwae for Kisii people to realize development.

"I hear opponents saying that we will not deliver as by the promises Governor Ongwae and I made to the people of Kisii County. I wish to confirm that elaborate plans are ongoing to initiate several projects across the county to improve lifestyles of the people without discrimination," he added.

He was speaking in Kisii town on Tuesday.
