The question of who is going to be the Cord coalition's flag bearer in 2017 poll is continuing to generate heat and a fair share of divisions in Cord as well with three ODM lawmakers threatening not to support any other candidate apart from ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
This comes at a time there are increased speculations that the ODM leader is ready to shelve his presidential ambitions and instead support Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi.
However, Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi, Siaya Women Representative Christine Ombaka and Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga say that they will not support anyone else until 'the father of devolution' ascends to power.
According to the trio who spoke in Ugunja, Raila has what it takes to dislodge President Uhuru Kenyatta and that endorsing any other person for the coalition's flag bearer will be gifting Jubilee victory.
Rasanga said he is going to sponsor the registration of IDs to get Raila more votes.
"As ODM leaders we are ready to spend to the last coin in 2017 to push Raila to the top seat and have the Constitution implemented," Rasanga said.
On his part, Wandayi said they have sealed all the election loopholes and what is only remaining is to present a strong candidate like Raila.
Ombaka said that she will not forgive Raila if he endorses another politician for the top seat.
