Kisumu youths have been asked to participate in the development agenda of the county.
Kisumu County Young Elites chairperson Fleming Otieno said if youth engaged in the development matters, they would help foster the county’s economy.
Speaking on Thursday at a Kisumu hotel, the chairperson said youth should be innovative so as to add value to growth and development.
He at the same time urged county government leaders to freely engage youth in development matters.
He said the leaders should not feel threatened that the youth want to take over their positions. Instead, he, added, they should mentor them.
“Let’s help our youths to be at a position of improving their welfare by improving their innovative skills they have. To promote development they should not be sidelined in matters of development as most of them have brilliant ideas on development,” said Otieno.
