Lawyer Steve Mogaka has condemned the killing of lawyer Willy Kimani who was abducted alongside his client and a taxi driver and their bodies dumped in a river in Kilimambogo.
In a phone interview on Saturday, Mogaka condemned the act terming it a cowardice attempt meant to intimidate lawyers from handling certain cases.
"It is saddening that we lost one of our colleagues in the legal fraternity who was killed by people who were not happy about his involvement in a certain case but honestly, I think that was cowardly of them," said the Nairobi based lawyer.
Mogaka who has set his eyes on the West Mugirango parliamentary seat, further urged the government to thoroughly investigate the matter until the murderers are brought to book.
"This is not the first time that a person is killed in such circumstances and it is the government's responsibility to investigate the matter and nail the killers," added Mogaka.
Already, three Administration Police officers have been arrested in connection with the deaths and will be arraigned in court on Monday.
