Residents of Entange in Bomariba ward Kisii county have something to smile for since they will now have access to clean spring water.
This after the Bonchari aspirant Eng Robert Obwoto constructed a stone building to the spring in the area.
Residents have have applauded him for his efforts to ensure that residents gets clean water to drink.
"This is a good start. The foundation starts now. Eng Robert has finally come to our rescue after efforts asking the current MP Zebedeo Opore were futile. Opore promised to construct the spring 10 years ago but has failed, Obwoto has done something good than a leader who is in office. This is a legacy in our village. Eng Obwoto will get our support in 2017," said Charles Riang'a a resident.
Isaac Omwenga noted that before the construction of the spring, residents used to fetch water where their cattle would drink from.
"At times you could get water is dirty after the cattle have gone there, drunks and left the water dirty. But as it has been constructed and fully covered well, residents will have access to clean water all times," said Omwenga.
He urged the aspirant to ensure that Bonchari constituents gets the simple things like clean water and he will be a good leader.
"Leadership does not mean one should have a certain government post Obwoto is all that Bonchari people should support since he has showed a good start which the current MP Opore has not achieved in the last 15 years he has been in office," he added.
