Speaking Sunday after participating at the Stanchart Marathon in Nairobi the ambassador decried rampant corruption in the country the latest being in the ministry of health and called for the arrest of those who could have looted the Ksh 5.3 Billion.

"There is a terrible situation at the health sector, obviously that needs to be investigated immediately and those found guilty should go to prison," he said.

He at the same time reiterated the US commitment in helping Kenya fight corruption but insisted that reforms must be put in place to rid off the vice.

"There is is a lot of action that needs to be taken.Obviously, people who are guilty of corruption need to go to prison.Reforms need to be put in place, procedures and practices like ethical training which help close the door on corruption also needs to be overseen," he added.

His sentiments come in the wake of several high-level corruption scandals that have hit the Jubilee government.
