A 22-year-old man with an epileptic condition drowned in one dam on Sunday evening in Kikombi area in Kaewa location, Kathiani sub-county, Machakos county.

According to Kaewa location chief Titus Mbuva, the man went swimming in the dam along three other little boys when the accident occurred. 

While swimming, the man developed an epileptic attack that led to his drowning since the little boys were unable to save him and by the time they called for help it was too late. 

"The man is epileptic, he got an attack while swimming and since there wasn't anyone around who could have helped him he drowned," said Mbuva. 

The body of the man was taken to Kathiani hospital mortuary for postmortem.
