Up to 300 residents of Waseges ward in Subukia sub-county over the weekend benefited from free medical camp courtesy of doctors from Mater and Kenyatta National hospitals.
The exercise was organised with the help of the Elijah Mwangi Foundation, and targeted people with various ailments.
Speaking to this writer after the event, Mwangi challenged Nakuru county government to take up the fight and equip the available hospitals and ensure constant supply of drugs.
“We have treated not less than 300 people, and we shall continue doing it. Our medical camps started on Saturday at Kaptarakwa, because I believe I have a vision for these residents.
He said the doctors are ready to support the people, most of whom are poor and cannot afford treatment.
“We treated diabetes, typhoid, malaria, eye sickness, and other common diseases,” he said.
