While announcing the good news to the residents of Athi river, bishop Muli, who opened the Jamuhuri day celebrations with a prayer at Makadara grounds urged orphans to turn out in large numbers today December 13 at the DEO Athi River office.

Bishop Muli announced that Equity bank shall conduct an interview to select orphans who sat for this year's Kenya certificate of primary education, KCPE to join secondary school.

He said the bank is looking forward to support total orphans. He urged the people of Athi River to take advantage of this noble initiative by Equity bank to help the orphans.

Bishop Muli was speaking during the Jamuhuri day celebrations to mark the day Kenya was liberated from British rule.
