[Photo|ERC] The Electricity Department at the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has introduced a combined biometric scanner which scans finger prints and captures facial image of a license applicant. The biometric kit is expected to improve customer experience through fast and rapid identification, enhanced security and improved ease of accessing information. The kit will also enable cross departmental sharing of client information which implies that a client can apply for different types of licenses such as an electrician’s license and a solar technician license, without having to provide required documents for each application. "Providing excellent customer experience remains central to ERC. As such, we are continuously seeking new and innovative ways of making your experience with us unforgettable," ERC said in a communication, on Friday.
