Renowned comedian Eric Omondi will on Saturday host his 'Eric Omondi Stadium Tour' at Kisumu's Moi stadium.
On Tuesday, the comedian and his team called on the Governor of Kisumu Prof. Anyang' Nyong'o to bring him to speed on the fourth coming ' Eric Omondi Stadium Tour' scheduled for Saturday 16, 2018 at Moi Stadium.
Omondi's tour targets to sensitize the youth, primary and secondary school students on the effects of drugs and substance abuse.
The event will be graced by local Kisumu talents and other guests artists.
This is the second sensitization event for the youth in less than three months after the county hosted the Engage in April.
Governor Nyong'o is passionate about arts and even promised to construct a modern art center in Kisumu that will be used to develop and nurture talent.
Last month, the Governor hosted her daughter, Oscar Award winner Lupita Nyong'o and a number of other top artists to discuss the development of arts in Kisumu.
Reports indicate that the high profile meeting brought together artists of all genres in Kisumu so as to gain an understanding of their needs and aspirations with the aim of commencing planning for the development of an ultra modern iconic Arts and Culture Center in the county.
The region is awash with artists and the desire to revolutionize the art industry has existed for ages.
