Nairobi's celebrated comedian Eric Omondi's eldest brother was finally laid to rest on Friday 22, 2018 at Ugenya, Kisumu county.
Joseph Onyango Omondi's burial came only three days after Eric took to his Instagram account to reveal the passing of his eldest brother whom he said was a drug addict since his high school days.
Born in 1978, Joseph was the first born in a family of four and before his death he had been in and out of rehabilitation centres.
According to Eric, it took the interventions of a taxi driver to locate him around Nairobi's Nyandarua Road where he is said to have been hiding.
His death however came as a surprise to many after the comedian in an only span of 12 hours took to his Instagram account to announce his death.
''This is not the last image I would have wanted to post of my brother. But this is definitely the image I want every young person in this country to see! Joseph Onyango Omondi passed on this morning around 3am barely 12 hours after I found him in downtown River Road,'' he posted.
Eric also took the opportunity to advise all teenagers across the country to shy away from drug abuse as it would completely ruin their future just like his brother.
