Comedian Erick Omondi has said that he only felt sorry and apologized for his nude video for the sake of the young children and the future generation who may not understand the context of his actions.
This follows an incident where Omondi uploaded a video of him swimming with children while naked in river Turkwel which sparked mixed reactions from members of the public.
A section of the public found the video hilarious while others castigated him stating that it thwarted the African morals besides being obscene.
He had earlier on vowed that he was not going to make an apology for the video.
While speaking on a KTN live program on Thursday night, the comedian remained firm that he did not find anything inappropriate with the clip adding that it was very normal for a Kenyan and especially those who have grown up in rural areas to swim in a river naked.
“I come from Kisumu near the shores of lake Victoria. We get all the water we use from the lake, the lake also serves a recreational utility as we also swim in it,” stated Omondi.
When questioned on why he was yet to get a child despite being engaged, Omondi revealed that her girl friend was still young and that he met her when she was 16 years.
“She is now twenty years, I think she needs to grow a bit more before we can talk about getting kids,” he said.
