There were errors in the just-released Kenya Certificate for Primary Education (KCPE) results.
In Olympic Primary School, over 500 candidates were awarded the wrong mark in Mathematics with every student getting between 29 and 51 percent.
The schools’ first candidate was also wrongfully awarded 282 marks.
The Headteacher, Fredric Odhiambo admitted to the errors but explained that KNEC sorted out the issue and everything is under normalcy.
“In the previous results, the first candidate had 384 marks but when the issue was sorted out, our first candidate had 427 marks. We have 13 candidates with over 400 marks,” said the Odhiambo.
This happens even as the commission said they had acquired technologically improved machines that were not exposed to errors.
