Kisii county assembly has been urged to establish an emergency kitty to assist victims of the ethnic clash of in Nyaribari Masaba constituency.
Speaking on Thursday at Kemonge area, Nyamasibi MCA Samson Nyagaka said that he has already tabled a motion that aims at creating more funds to help the victims that were affected in the past week clashes.
He said his motion is purely looking into ensuring those who lost their livestock and houses are fully compensated by the county government.
“I know there are funds and I need to push for the motion so that all those who were affected can get to their ‘normal life’ back for that is the role of we leaders whom they chose to represent them in the assembly,” he added.
He further added that he will hold a fundraiser on Saturday at Nyamasibi shopping center so that they can raise few funds that will construct new houses for the victims.
The MCA called upon his counterparts to help him pass the motion so that the affected ones can get immediate assistance.
